Meredith “Kindell” Cornett, RMHCI
Meredith “Kindell” Cornett, MA, RMHCI, brings over two decades of experience within the psychology and social work field, She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences in Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University. She was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. As she continued to work within her bachelors in agencies she realized after gaining experience that she would benefit from getting her masters in counseling. She later found herself living on Anna Maria Island, Fl, where she continued to live and work inside other agencies and institutions.
She gained her clinical masters degree in 2015 from the University of Argosy.
Kindell loves the outdoors, whether it’s camping, visiting the beach or Florida’s beautiful springs and rivers. She enjoys all water sports, kayaking, paddle boarding,surfing. She values spending quality time with her family and friends, listening to music. Kindell also has crystal singing bowls which she does incorporate often into her practice.
Kindell promotes a person centered approach to provide her clients with a supportive, nonjudgmental approach to ensure her clients feels heard, seen, and valued. She often integrates Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), ACT, mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to support individuals of all ages. With expertise in both individual and group settings, she excels in helping clients navigate transitions, manage depression and anxiety, relationships , career direction or fostering personal growth.
Kindell offers fee-for-service outpatient clinical counseling on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday mornings. Her practice is designed to help clients rediscover their strengths and achieve meaningful, lasting change.
