She/Her/Hers

Jolene Shea, LMHCA

Some people come to counseling with the idea that their counselor is going to fix them and their problems. In reality, we get to come alongside you, offer support, additional perspective, and help you become the best version of yourself. In my practice I do that by getting to know my clients, what is important to them, and the relevant past experiences that influence their perception.

I take an integrated approach using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), dialectic behavioral therapy (DBT), and others. This allows for a tailored approach for each client to help them understand their experience in a new way and create change.

I obtained my bachelors degree in psychology from Grand Canyon University in 2017 and my masters in clinical mental health counseling in 2024, also from Grand Canyon University. I have worked mostly with kids and teens in previous roles but I am also enjoying expanding my experience into working with adults. I do work with a lot of neurodivergent individuals, their families, and support systems to help navigate the challenges associated with neurodivergence.

My goal as a counselor is to make a safe space where everyone can be their authentic selves, and improve in ways that are important to them.
