She/Her/Hers

Emma Pasiuk, Ph.D, LMHCA

As a mental health professional, Emma's approach integrates evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Psychodynamic modalities. This eclectic approach aims to empower clients on their journey towards personal growth and healing by, identifying and challenging unhelpful (thought and behavior) patterns, promoting positive change through structured and goal-oriented interventions, exploring, challenging, and reshaping dominant narratives, and delving into past experiences and interpersonal patterns to gain deeper insight into how past experiences may influence current thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

Her practice aims to recognize and respect individuals' diverse backgrounds, experiences, and identities. She strives to create a safe and affirming therapeutic environment where clients feel empowered to explore their inner worlds and cultivate a deeper understanding of themselves.

Emma completed her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at Bemidji State University in 2017. She completed her Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology with a specialty in Marriage and Family Therapy at Saint Thomas University in 2020 and recently completed her Doctoral Degree in Animal Science at Texas Tech University in 2024. Emma's doctoral research specialized in investigating human experiences (mood state and self-efficacy) and relational dynamics (therapeutic/working alliances) during horse-human interactions in counseling and research settings. In the future, she hopes to offer clients opportunities in counseling and psychotherapy services incorporating horses.
