Brittany Wheeler, LMHCA

Welcome to the next step in your journey of healing, self-discovery, and self-improvement. You have taken a significant step forward by working towards finding a connection to help address your mental health well-being. Hi, my name is Brittany Wheeler, and I am an LMHCA. I focus on working with older adolescents and adults experiencing life transitions, anxiety, depression, and work/school/life stressors. I also enjoy working with LGBTQIA+ community members who are exploring themselves or experiencing stressors within themselves, relationships, or community. My role is to offer support and validation to experiences while assisting in processing life events and learning skills to adjust thoughts and feelings to foster growth and acceptance.

I focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I offer skill building and education on challenging harmful thought patterns and behaviors while improving emotional regulation, mindfulness, tolerating distress, and interpersonal relationships.

I strive to create a safe and supportive environment for individuals to explore themselves and their experiences. I am client-centered, focusing on the strengths of the individual to work towards improvement of their overall well-being. Taking the step to begin engaging in counseling is courageous and empowering. I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey.
